| This is a photograph in winter of "Checkboard Mesa". This is located on the east side of Zion National Park - near Zion Mountain Resort. Winter is a great time to come to Zion. The skies are mostly clear and blue and temperatures are very comfortable for hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
